In Loving Memory of Lewis Allen Paul Bell, Jr.

August 23, 1952 - October 3, 2024

Lewis Allen Paul Bell, Jr. was born on August 23, 1952, in Baltimore,
Maryland, the beloved son of Shirley and Lewis Bell, Sr. As the only
son, Lewis was a treasured member of his family, known for his
dedication to service, education, and community.

He was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from
Baltimore City College in 1970. Lewis proudly served his country as a
Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, later continuing his
military service as a Sergeant in the Air National Guard of Maryland
and the US Air Force Reserves.

In 2007, Lewis became a member of the Zeta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta
Sigma Fraternity, Inc., a brotherhood that aligns with his lifelong
values of service and community.

Academically driven, Lewis earned an AA degree in Business-Marketing
from Baltimore City Community College and pursued further studies in
Business at the University of Baltimore. His professional career
spanned 32 years with the State of Maryland Department of Human
Resources, where he had coworkers who became family.

Lewis’s passion for sports and excellence led him to work closely with
the Northwood Baseball Program, and he served as an official with the
Maryland Board of Football Officials, Baltimore City Football
Officials, and the Maryland Association of Softball Officials. His
dedication to the sports community was deeply felt by friends and
athletes alike.

Lewis will be remembered for his loyalty, quiet strength, and
unwavering commitment to his family, fraternity, and community. His
legacy of service, integrity, and dedication will continue to inspire
those who knew and loved him.

He leaves behind a lasting impact and cherished memories that will
live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
